LOCATION: Altona, MB
REPORTS TO: Commercial Lines Manager
SCHEDULE: Full-time

SUMMARY:
The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for assisting the Commercial and Farm Underwriting teams with the day to day administration of activities. This includes: the daily collection of policy information and data entry into our Computer Management System. In addition, the successful candidate will provide clerical support to a team of Underwriters and assist in the successful completion of organizational deadlines and production goals. Training is provided by Red River Mutual

  • Proficient computer skills with the Microsoft Office program suite

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Work alongside both Commercial and Farm Underwriting teams to provide a high level of service to broker partners
  • Data entry of policies into an Insurance Management System
  • Collaboration with the underwriting team and the broker partners
  • Entering policy changes into our Insurance Management System
  • Problem solving
  • Clerical duties as assigned

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma
  • Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Experience in customer service
