Training & Development Coordinator – Oakville

Our client is one of Canada’s leading Independent Insurance Brokers with a unique mix of commercial expertise in several industry niche markets, Private Clients insurance, and corporate group benefits consulting.

Objective:

They seek a Training and Development Coordinator to drive and strengthen their committment to change through education both internally and externally.

Develops and delivers training, educational programs and on-the-job learning initiatives, such as workflow and procedures, insurance education, system training, soft skills training, advisory projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Devise & implement training solutions, lectures, conferences, demonstrations, group and individual instruction strategies to reach target audience
  • Consistently improve and benchmark employees engagement scores through development & facilitation of corporate values
  • manage and coordinate available training resources both internal and external
  • measure program results and improve effectiveness of training and development initiatives by monitoring feedback and adjusting program objectives
  • Work with brokerage operations to improve workflows, develop metrics for analysis
  • Partner with departments to improve service delivery, training performance and support to improve operational effectiveness
  • Conduct one on one and refresher training on an as needed basis
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate the On-boarding of new team members

  • Strongly Developed technical skills
  • Adapts well in a changing environment and thrives under pressure

Qualifications:

  • University Degree Preferred
  • Bilingual (French) would be an asset
  • RIBO, CAIB, CIP would be an asset
  • 4-6 yrs of Insurance Industry experience
  • Strong Background in Instructional Design
  • Must be Comfortable and Proficient in electronic and Virtual environment
  • Proficiency in TAM and EPIC an asset
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word & Powerpoint.
