TECHNICAL PROPERTY UNDERWRITING MANAGER

Position Summary:

  • Reporting to the VP, Underwriting, manage the national underwriting framework for the Property line of business, committing to improving efficiency and profitability while maintaining strong levels of governance and technical support. As a member of the Corporate Underwriting team, support the profitable growth of the Canadian operation assisting regional offices meet the needs of their brokers and customers.

 You bring to the table: 

  • 10+ years of progressive Commercial Property underwriting experience
  • University or College Grad.
  • CIP/FCIP
  • Property policy wording expertise
  • Experience with new product development or product enhancements
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing complex, conflicting priorities
  • Ability to present and/or facilitate group presentations
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders
  • Project management experience
