We are currently seeking a Team Leader for our Client’s House Account Department in their Markham, Ontario office. The Team Leader is accountable for sales, underwriting, providing direction and the day to day management in regards to our portfolio of group and personal lines house business, identifying and analyzing growth opportunities, managing issues and ensuring that the Company client promise is consistently delivered.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team including the hiring, development, retention, reward and motivation of staff

Manage underwriting referral process with staff and be able to communicate with markets clearly and concisely to convey individual account underwriting requirements within binding authority guidelines and within company underwriting strategy

Manage the continuous improvement of people and processes including account allocation, workload planning and prioritization, training & development, goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching.

Maintain and develop strong relationship with key partners to develop business opportunities. Attend client and industry functions as required

Monitor and understand business performance and results on a continual basis – identifying and managing issues in addition to opportunities to improve growth, profitability and service.

Provide technical expertise and advice regarding products, systems, and processes

Identify, investigate, and develop new business/expansion opportunities

Participate in file reviews & audits
Qualifications:
-
RIBO licensed
-
A minimum of 6 years industry experience with a minimum of 2 years current experience in a management or team leader role with a team of 3 persons or more
-
In depth understanding of all personal lines products
-
High level knowledge of Power Broker, Compuquote, EZITV, RCT
-
Sales Experience
-
Demonstrated commitment to high standards of performance and goals

Strong communication, interpersonal & decision making skills

Excellent written communication skills

Resourceful in identifying and analyzing data and defining critical issues and alternatives

Excellent organizational and time management skills
