SURETY ANALYST – Vaughan

Our client provides insurance and risk management to businesses across Canada. They provide a client specific approach with a focus on value. They have a team of experts that work with over 16 major carriers to provide a completely customized risk solution for their clients. They are growing and looking to add an experienced Surety Analyst to their team.
DUTIES
Manage all administrative service delivery functions including bond approval, bond issuance, modifications, renewals and cancellations, invoicing, file and database management and related activities
Assist Producers and Surety Account Managers with surety meeting preparation, and program re-marketing efforts
Respond to surety company’s bond-related requests for information
Use electronic filing system for all documents, underwriting information and all supporting information
SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
You are organized, and have exceptional communication skills
Strong attention to detail, follow through and analytical ability
Service oriented, energetic, self-starter
Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions dealing with abstract and concrete variables
Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Work as part of a team to manage the clients’ daily bonding needs, including, receipt and review of bid specs and contracts accompanied with bond requests, facilitate required information exchange between clients and underwriters to secure timely approvals and issuance and delivery of requested bonds.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients, underwriters, and producers to ensure a high level of customer service.
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment
Willingness to take initiative, as needed
RIBO licensed or willing to get licensed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Tech Savvy and comfortable learning new applications and software
University degree is preferred, but not required if equivalent work experience
Ability to recognize problems, establish facts and develop valid recommendations
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience in the insurance and/or Surety industry or equivalent experience is strongly preferred
Understanding of construction industry
