What’s the ask?

Under the direction of the Manager, Small Business Solutions, the successful candidate will provide

Professional insurance services to clients who operate small to mid-sized commercial businesses in specific

Segments or businesses eligible for specific programs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cross selling and looking for and servicing an existing portfolio of business with a primary focus on client retention and relationship, in accordance with department standards.
  • Follow SBS procedures to provide exceptional customer service to existing/new clients. This includes adhering to SBS Customer Service Standards and proper use of activity codes and labeling procedures to ensure files are complete and organized. Take a client centric & consultative approach to provide solutions that add value to our customers
  • Through the identification of key risks for our clients, identify & forward new opportunities on your files to other lines of business within our organization

What does it take?

  • RIBO license or ability to obtain
  • 2-3 years previous insurance experience (Property & Casualty)
  • Customer-centric, friendly and professional at all times
  • Exceptional organization skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • High level of self-motivation, with the ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products
  • Professional, responsive, and a positive work attitude is essential
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
  • Previous experience with EPIC is an asset
  • CIP, CAIB, CRM (or working towards designation) would be an asset
