Liability Examiner (Contract)
Liability adjusting of a full pending of Automobile and Property liability claims; GTA Adjusters has an immediate opening for placement with an insurer client. The successful candidate will be experienced with an Insurer of Ontario claims and familiar with examining and adjusting in a Liability Department. The position is remote and will require use of the clients systems. Exposures are of intermediate to senior level and the candidate will be experienced at adjusting within a department and managing exposure reports, posting notes, diary control, productions review, securing authority, determining liability and negotiating settlements. The contract with GTA is open for a minimum of six months and may extend for an extensive period of time.
GTA Adjusters Inc. is a 30-year-old established firm of claims professionals providing professional adjusting services to Canadian Insurers. GTA Adjusters continues to grow and requires experienced insurance claims professionals in All-lines including this Automobile & Residential Property Bodily Injury Liability placement position for Full Time hours during an unspecified contract duration. Successful candidates must be skilled in adjusting from first notice of loss to closure, at intermediate to senior claims levels. The Insurer customer will require hands-on investigations, quality reporting, initiating communications & responsive service, while working remotely on their claims management system. Additional adjusting work and experience will be offered & trained directly from GTA Adjusters, to achievers interested in developing new lines of work and moving to a more sophisticated claims handling level.

Qualifications and Experience:
● Claims adjusting experience in an insurance company Injury Liability department
● Minimum of 7 years experience for serious-level exposures
● Effective analytical skills, including identification of cause-and-effect dynamics
● Good investigative skills
● Ability to interpret complex documents of a legal nature, perform and understand advanced numerical calculations including analysis of comparative information.
● Advanced communication skills including:
● Effective written skills including those of a technical nature
● Effective oral skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, must be able to flex style appropriate to the audience.
● Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner.
● Proactive and positive approach to customer service ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner.
● Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations.
