Full-Time Senior Commercial Account Manager

Job Description

Our client is an independent insurance brokerage, established in 1919, dedicated to providing security and value through custom insurance solutions for business, personal and financial services.  They have three branches with a total staff in excess of 80 experienced individuals. Responsibilities:
-Manage a designated portfolio of client accounts

-Maintain excellent client relationships to maximize retention

-Maintain relationships with company underwriters and claims adjusters

-Continuous service based on customer needs, advising on insurance matters, assessing needs, exposing gaps in coverage, recommending solutions, answering inquiries

-Renewal review assessments – check for accuracy, adequate coverage, limits and closing gaps in coverage

-Remarkets as required

-Qualify new customers; prepare quotes; selling new policies

-Identify up-sell opportunities and provide clients with expanded product offerings

-Stay current on underwriting rules and guidelines

-Processing renewals and endorsements

-Provide claims advise and liaise with company reps as needed to deliver a positive claims experience

-Provide training for new hires

-Serve as a mentor for junior CSR’s

Qualifications:

-RIBO License

-10+ years Commercial Lines Experience

-Insurance Designations an asset

-Superior technical knowledge

-Experienced with Word, Outlook, Excel and various company portals

-TAM and PolicyWorks knowledge preferred

-Knowledge of specialty lines ie. E&O, D&O, Crime

-Superior time management and organizational skills (Organization)

-Superior attention to detail (Accuracy)

-Superior problem solving  and critical thinking (Analytical)

-Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision in a team environment (Autonomy w/i teamwork)
