Senior Commercial Account Executive / Development Manager

 

Our client is located in the Ottawa area and they have a long-standing history within the community.  They have an exciting and interesting Business Development Opportunity for the right candidate!

 

They are interested in bringing on board a Commercial Broker/Senior Account Executive who is eager to further grow and develop their current book of business and Client Relationships. They are interested in a long-term hire for someone who is looking to be the “face” of the brokerage.

 

There is currently a commercial $1.5M+ book of business which requires TLC. The role would have the support of an Account Manager and Technical Assistant. The Commercial accounts vary from Auto (fleets), Bonding, Cargo, Cyber, D&O, E&O, Commercial Property etc.  Preference will be given to candidates who currently have an established (owned) Commercial Book.

  • Business development through relationship and account rounding
  • Networking with community and markets
  • Cultivate an environment of leadership, trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership
  • excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Possess a strong drive to succeed and grow the business

 

Requirements:

  • RIBO Licence in good standing
  • Minimum 5 years Commercial Insurance experience
  • Sales experience; the ability to identify and capture revenue opportunity; asking for and obtaining referrals
