Job Description

Internationally recognized P&C digital insurance distributor entering the Canadian marketplace to establish a targeted auto and home insurance program in Ontario.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Salesforce Developer who will report directly to the VP, Strategic Initiatives & IT. The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for enhancements and changes to our customized Salesforce implementation, including integration with other in-house and 3rd party systems, including supporting administrative activities where required.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business and development teams to analyze functional requirements and the underlying business drivers, issues and challenges
  • Provide expert knowledge and proficiency for Salesforce technologies to meet business needs
  • Develop specifications, process flows, application configuration, and perform testing and release management
  • Configure, develop, enhance and support highly customized applications or tools in general, intelligent workflows and applications
  • Advise on the implications of configuration and customization decisions and document technical risks, costs and benefits in terms of development and future upgrades
  • Manage multiple phases of systems implementations such as data conversion, configuration, integration and customization
  • Monitor operational performance, implement changes and apply updates or enhancements when required
  • Ensure data security is enforced through the use of roles, profiles and sharing rules
  • Train aha employees to make the best use of tools and technologies
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements – Qualities – Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Minimum of five years of Salesforce Development
  • Experience in Salesforce configuration and administration
  • Proficiency with Visualforce and Apex. Java and Angular are nice to have
  • Knowledge of Mulesoft is a definite bonus
  • First-hand knowledge of integrating Salesforce with other applications
  • The ability to take on new technologies independently and become the in-house expert on many of these
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity and excellent work ethic
  • Results oriented with a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Must Have Certifications
    • Platform Developer I
    • Salesforce Administrator
  • Nice to have Certifications:
    • Platform Developer II
    • System Architect, or Technical, or Applicant
    • Sales or Service Cloud Consultant
