Full-Time RISK PLACEMENT MANAGER, COMMERCIAL LINES
Job Description
Our client continues to grow serving Canadians from coast-to-coast for their domestic and international insurance needs. Currently operating from 8 different offices and with over 185 employees and in excess of $130 million in volume.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a team of commercial risk placement specialists
Ensure timely and effective risk placement of new commercial prospects
Develop unique and effective relationships with key insurance companies to enable risk placement
Review insurance programs for commercial prospects
Complete coverage gap analysis on all commercial prospects
Ensure the highest quality of submissions to market using EPIC and PolicyWorks
Mentor and develop team members including annual performance appraisals and/or performance improvement plans
Adhere to Company risk placement service standards
Effective team member providing an outstanding new customer experience
Work closely with Senior Account Managers and Producers
As part of the Management Team, you will be involved in creating plans and setting strategy for commercial lines
Reports to Executive Vice President, Commercial Lines
Key Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of mid-market commercial lines risk placement
Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written)
Exceptional relationship buildings skills
Highly proficient in Microsoft product suite (Excel, Outlook and Word)
Experience leading a team is an asset
Experience with EPIC and PolicyWorks is an asset
Post-secondary education is an asset
Insurance industry designation is an asset
Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 4 days per week
Active RIBO license
