Our client, a globally recognized insurance brokerage is seeking a Regional Compliance Officer to join their team of insurance professionals. The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, great investigative and analytical skills along with a strong understanding of compliance regulations within the P&C Industry. This role will be responsible for Western Canada and will require occasional travel.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regularly scheduled audits on all files in accordance with compliance guidelines
- Distribute findings from audits to staff members and management
- Keep up-to-date with new legislation and regulations
- Train new and existing staff members in all areas of compliance, as well as providing ongoing support and advice for the commercial lines team
- Assist with the creation and implementation of new policies and procedures
- Ability to multi–task in a time sensitive environment and handle job responsibilities with a sense of urgency
- Comply with all reporting standards and provide regular status updates to senior management
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to work in a team environment.
- Minimum 5 years of Commercial Insurance knowledge
- Exceptional presentation skills to individuals at all levels of an organization
- Self-starter, capable of working alone or with others.
- Secondary degree or professional designation would be an asset
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
