Full-Time Receptionist
Job Description
The Bilingual Receptionist will assist in meeting service level objectives by taking calls and greeting clients at the front desk; updating client information as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Diligently manage and appropriately respond to high volume of visitors and incoming calls
- Communicate effectively with brokers internally regarding customer requests and appointments
- Assist with ordering supplies as directed
- Open and close the office
- Receive and distribute electronic faxes
- Receive and track payments; maintain and store post-dated cheques
- Assist with bank deposits
- Assist with opening daily mail and preparing outgoing mail
- Maintain petty cash
- Complete administrative tasks according to corporate policies and procedures
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Manager, Commercial Lines
Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor in a fast paced environment
- 3-5 years related experience
- Must be fluently bilingual in French and English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel
- Working knowledge of Agency Manager (TAM) is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and follow-up on uncompleted tasks
- Concise written and verbal communication
- High performance team player with positive and outgoing attitude
