Personal Lines Sr Account Manager – High Park

Overview:

The position is responsible for leading a team of Personal Insurance staff to meet the
objectives of the business unit reporting to the President. Based on years of
knowledge in the P&C industry, this position will provide ongoing support to the
Partner and broker team. This position also performs a wide range of administrative
and office support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the Brokerage.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains services and grows an existing book of business.
  • Manages the Personal Insurance operations in the office to achieve growth
    and profitability targets.
  • Accountable for leadership of the team: provides daily mentoring, coaching
    and development including training sessions with broker partners and staff to
    stay up to date with new insurance products.
  • Implements and monitors Personal Insurance objectives with respect to
    commission revenue, policy count, accounts receivable and quality of the
    books of business.
  • Expands knowledge to facilitate commercial submissions and service.
  • Collaboratively analyzes and resolves quality and customer service and sales
    problems with Account Managers in order to deliver on our Customer Value
    Proposition.
  • Communicates, implements, and monitors strategies to ensure goals and
    objectives are attained.
  • Assists with team meetings and monthly audits.
  • Assists to ensure company standards and procedures are followed.
  • Maintains electronic and hard copy filing system.
  • Prepares and modifies documents including correspondence, reports, drafts,
    memos and emails.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • 5years or more insurance industry experience, with extensive Personal
    lines experience.
  • Leadership experience demonstrating experience in
    coaching and mentoring staff in personal lines and underwriting
    performance an asset.
  • CIP, CRM or CAIB designation is an asset.
  • Commercial lines experience is an asset.
  • RIBO License is required.
  • Knowledge of Brokerage Management services/Power Broker and tools.
  • Strong customer engagement and service skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid sales attributes/focus.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
