Our client is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Insurance Broker to join their Edmonton team of insurance professionals.
The successful candidate will service and grow a book of commercial business through prospecting as well as referrals from the team. There is a potential for growth within the organization for the right individual as well.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work to develop strategies and marketing initiatives for renewals as well as prospective business.
- Service and grow a book of commercial business.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients as well as industry professionals.
- Request and approve documentation for new contracts, policy changes, additions, deletions and renewals.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and direction for the commercial division.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- 5+ years personal lines experience in a brokerage environment
- Level 2 Insurance license is required.
- A CIP, CAIB or CRM Designation would be considered an asset.
- Strong negotiation, customer service, organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team or independently.
- Effective prioritizing skills are essential.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
