Personal Insurance – Administrative Assistant

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be supporting our personal insurance team.
Duties include:
- Responsible for reviewing renewals and determining if coverage is suitable or if any changes or upgrades should be offered
- Contacting insurance companies in a timely fashion for any late renewals, endorsements or any other documentation as required
- Entering new business leads into broker management system
- Prepare applications for new and existing clients
- Process endorsements, cancellations and reinstatements, submit applications to insurers
- Order Autoplus, MVR and HITS reports
- Ensure thorough and accurate documentation is maintained in broker management system for EDI audits for all new business, endorsements, cancellations
- Participate in EDI audits with insurers
- Respond to lessor/lienholder requests
- Reception duties including incoming and outgoing mail and courier when required
- Other duties as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Entry Level Position, with a client relationship focus and knowledge of personal lines insurance coverage and processes
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, punctual, attention to detail, strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize under pressure
- Strong computer skills and proficient Microsoft Office, Applied Systems (TAM or EPIC) and Compu-Quote
- RIBO license an asset, but not required
Salary commensurate with experience.
