Look no further! Valley First Insurance Services, a division of First West Insurance, is looking for a high performing Personal Insurance Broker 2 (PIB 2) who wants to join our Kamloops Insurance team to make a real difference in the financial lives of our members and clients.

The PIB 2 is an integral part of the insurance office team and is the first point of contact for our clients. This position is a great place to grow your insurance career with our organization. As a PIB 2, you will have the opportunity to build strong and lasting relationships with our members and clients. You will help them by providing professional insurance services through the promotion and sales of Autoplan and Personal Lines insurance products including: homeowners, rental, travel, mobile homes and other products. The PIB 2 writes new business as well as processing renewals and midterm changes for existing clients.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • a Level 1 General Insurance License (successful completion of Fundamentals of Insurance and/or CAIB 1; completion of CAIB 2; completion of ICBC Basics for Brokers)
  • at least 2 years of insurance experience providing superior customer service and utilizing your sales skills
  • flexible availability and the ability to work a variety of shifts
  • proficient computer skills with a experience using the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, and Outlook), ICBC Software, and insurance specific programs
  • in depth knowledge of personal insurance products and services and are proficient in ICBC policies and procedures
