Full-Time New Business Development Account Executive
Job Description

- Work with the commercial and health & benefits units to systematically present their personal lines value proposition to stakeholders which includes both C-suite and group employee & association home and auto business
- Prepares and presents marketing proposals for new business prospects
- Actively engage with new and existing high net worth leads from all sources to sell the rationale for using a broker, changing brokers, or changing carriers
- Create and prioritize a pipeline of prospects externally by leveraging existing relationships and developing new relationships with Centers of Influence such as real estate agents, wealth managers, car dealers and anyone else serving the luxury segment
- Assess lifestyle risks of potential insureds; counsel and recommend coverage with the highest level of integrity and expertise
- Achieve monthly quota of new business in an environment encouraging transparency into pipeline and activity
- Collaborate effectively with our client and carrier contact team that will handle some data entry, processing, carrier contact and client follow up
- Take ownership of complex or escalated client issues and account management functions
- Remain knowledgeable of industry landscape and how insurance companies differentiate their product and service offering
- Assist Department Heads with Project work associated with managing a book of personal lines business
- Carrier specific work resulting from appetite changes, appraisal reviews, process changes or unusual rate increases
- Cover activities of other roles during times of peak workload, staffing shortages or seasonal spikes in activity
- Special projects and department marketing initiatives
The Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma required. Post Secondary Education preferred
- RIBO License required, CIP, FCIP, CAIB are assets as well as commitment to ongoing formal accreditations
- 5 – 7 years experience in the insurance industry with successful track record
- Experience broking policies for various personal lines insurance carriers in Ontario or other provinces
- Proven ability to develop meaningful relationships with successful families and corporations
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including MS PowerPoint, knowledge of EPIC an asset
- Strong social media and P&C industry presence
