HUB International continues to grow and we are looking for an entrepreneurial insurance professional for our National Director, Business Insights. This role will work in the Toronto office reporting to the Canadian Chief Marketing Officer and will provide back-end office business insights to support the Presidents, Chief Marketing Officers and Chief Sales Officers across the HUB’s in Canada. This role will support strategies and programs to increase growth with our Customer Center Carriers insurer partners. The mission is to provide leading edge products to our sales force allowing distinct market competitiveness.

Primary Responsibilities:

The National Director, Business Insights serves an integral role supporting National and Regional leaders.

• Building dynamic and scalable financial dashboards for reporting and insights
• Developing Insurer business profiles
• Providing financial and business analytics to support client and sales activity delivering on Customer Centric Carrier insurer execution plans
• Industry sector and vertical analysis and planning to support distribution strategy, product development and sales focuses
• Acting as the subject matter expert for broker data analytics
• Review and analysis of broker compensation plans and contracts against market and key competitors

Qualifications and Experience:

• University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or Finance or equivalent experience
• 10 years + experience in commercial insurance industry focused on financial and business analytics
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• Contract management experience with emphasis on broker compensation programs
• Effective negotiation and communication skills: verbal, written and presentations
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills at the Executive and Senior Management level
• Business development or sales operations experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel (Advanced: Pivot Tables), PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience building data bases and sophisticated financial dashboards
• Direct insurer company experience in a similar business analytics role desired
• Effective influencing and negotiation skills up to the President level
• Strong attention to detail, time management and analytical skills.
