Full-Time Manager, New Business Sales

The Manager, New Business Sales, is responsible for managing a dedicated team of inbound sales specialists in Ontario for both Personal Lines and Commercial Lines for entrepreneurs and business owners. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the daily operations of the Ontario inbound sales team, coaching and mentoring sales employees, managing the sales pipeline of inbound leads, monitoring sales performance and team productivity, implementing sales tactics to increase quote opportunities, recruiting and training of sales employees.

JOB DUTIES

Achieving growth and meeting sales targets by successfully managing an inbound sales team
Managing the sales pipeline of inbound leads and supporting lead generation activities
Tracking sales results and individual performance
Providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and feedback on individual sales performance
Creating a sales-focused and inspiring team environment
Supporting the inbound sales team with product and carrier knowledge and education
Providing and enhancing operational requirements for effective sales management
Liaising with the Director on implementing a strategic plan to increase new business, including planning, targets, and forecasting
Executing sales programs to drive inbound sales results
Recruiting and onboarding new hires, supporting continuous learning and development of sales staff
Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with insurer partners
Collaborating and sharing best practices with new business sales managers across the organization
Other duties and responsibilities as required

LOCATION AND STATUS

Brampton, Ontario
Full-time, Permanent; minimum 4 days per week in office

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or related discipline preferred
Minimum five years of related experience in the insurance industry – including a combination of Personal Insurance and Commercial Insurance
Minimum five years of experience in sales – sale acumen, consistency in meeting or exceeding sales targets, developing sales action plans
Minimum of three years of people management experience
Strong working knowledge of Personal Insurance, and Commercial Insurance including coverages and risks associated with entrepreneurs and business owners
Proficiency in MS Office, sales tracking, and sales management software solutions
RIBO License (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) required. CAIB or CIP is considered an asset
Knowledge of a broker management system or customer relationship software is considered an asset
Ability to travel within Ontario as required
