Full-Time Manager, Commercial Auto Underwriting

SGI CANADA is currently seeking a Manager of our Saskatchewan Commercial Auto Underwriting team, based out of Regina. Together with the Underwriting team, this position will establish and maintain relationships with brokers and manage growth and profitability with an emphasis on excellent service standards. This position will build, coach and mentor a team of underwriters that understands and delivers one view of commercial auto underwriting that combines product, technology and services for our broker partners while attracting quality business to SGI CANADA.

Candidates must bring a combination of education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you. We are looking for candidates who have a degree in a relevant field of study such as Business or Mathematics & Applied Science. Candidates should have at least eight years’ experience comprised of four years leadership experience and four years’ experience in a senior underwriting role. A Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or completed courses is considered an asset. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
