DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Commercial Lines, Vancouver
POSITION: Junior. Commercial Underwriter
Job Accountabilities:
In this position at our Vancouver office, you will assist underwriters develop our Commercial/Professional portfolio for Western Region. This position requires a candidate with strong technical and underwriting expertise to provide support within the Commercial/Professional lines team. The incumbent should be an adept communicator to confidently respond to and resolve broker inquiries, and someone who is capable of making operational decisions with autonomy within your level of authority.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primarily responsible to support 2-3 Underwriters with endorsements, renewal and new submissions in our Commercial / Professional Lines Department.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Minimum 1-2 years of company junior underwriting experience
- CIP or working towards completing CIP courses
- A high standard of service in handling broker queries
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
