Contract IT Analyst
Job Description
Reporting to the Managing Director, the IT Analyst is responsible for supporting the branch’s networking systems, computer hardware, and software. Software support includes the programming of custom software applications and maintaining previously developed software. Software development will be primarily completed using VBA and SQL. Additionally, the successful candidate will manage the branch’s databases and use SQL for data extraction and reporting purposes.
Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Maintain network devices such as servers, firewalls, NAS, switches, etc.
- Develop software applications using VBA in Microsoft Excel and Access.
- Use SQL to generate reports in Microsoft Access and Oracle database environments.
- Consult in special IT projects as required.
- Assist with configuration and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices in a Windows AD environment.
- Integrate multiple systems and reconcile needs of different teams.
- Procurement of computer software and hardware.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and 1+ years work experience or 3+ years work experience.
- Microsoft or Oracle certifications an asset.
- Highly proficient in VBA and SQL programming.
- Hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, attention to detail and proven problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
