Job Summary:
The position mandate is to ensure the daily implementation, efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting administration through functions and processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Reconciliation of client accounts
- Reconcile insurance carrier accounts and follow up on discrepancies
- Reconcile payment of staff expense claims, and general vendor accounts
- Review, update and reconcile day to day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Payroll
Qualifications:
- University Degree or College Diploma with a Business and/or Accounting focus or equivalent education and experience
- 3-5 years progressive experience
- Knowledge and experience of accounting processes
- Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Effective attention to detail; focused and have a high degree of data entry accuracy
- Deadline oriented; strong ability to multi-task
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- A professional demeanor
- Knowledge of Broker Systems
