Job Description

Our client is located in Toronto.

Job Purpose

To assist in sales, marketing and servicing of Home and Auto Insurance Company Auto, Home, Business and Financial Security Life Assurance Company Life and Living Benefits and Mutual Funds, Vehicle Finance products and other financial services products.

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

·       Fluent in English AND Cantonese, IS REQUIRED in order to service existing clientele

·       Experience in a variety of computer applications, particularly Windows applications, desirable

·       Demonstrated leadership skills preferred

·       Experience in outside sales desirable

·       Knowledge of the following is desirable: Auto, Home, Business, Life, Mutual Fund, Living Benefit and Vehicle Finance products

SKILLS/ ABILITIES

·       Ability to become fully licensed to service and solicit all products.

·       Ability to have regularly scheduled booked appointments to present and solicit financial services products

·       Ability to present and solicit insurance and financial services products to potential and existing clients

·       Ability to conduct needs based marketing interviews with potential and existing clients

·       Ability to consistently meet monthly sales goals set by Team Member and/or Agent

·       Ability to track and monitor goals and hold self accountable

·       Ability to explain complex insurance and financial issues in understandable terms

·       Ability to effectively relate to customers within a sales environment

·       Strong listening, oral, and written communications skills

·       Ability to take initiative and act effectively, both individually and as a member of a team, without direction

·       Ability to create and maintain professional business relationships with prospects, policyholders, co-workers, and associates

·       Ability to learn and become proficient with various computer applications

·       Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and a dynamic work environment

·       Ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy

·       Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain strong organizational skills

·       Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

JOB RELATED TRAINING COURSES, LICENSING AND PROGRAMS

·       Successfully complete and maintain all Provincial requirements – including licensing and securities registration – to solicit and service designated Auto and Financial Security Life products and services

·       Remain current in all product changes and technical developments, and participate in company and industry training sessions, as required

·       Complete training, as required, including Compliance; Information Security Awareness; and Sales Training.

·       Remain current in all Continuing Education (CE) courses, as required

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Assist in developing a financial services marketing/sales plan for the agency

·       Develop and contact, on a daily basis, qualified leads and set appointments for financial services products

·       Facilitate financial services product presentations to potential and existing clients

·       Conduct needs based marketing interviews within the agent’s office or client’s home or business

·       Pivot to other product lines on the phone and in person

·       Utilize agency computer applications and marketing tools, as required and available

·       Accurately prepare forms, policies and endorsements when required

·       Follow up with customers and keep the agent informed

·       Provide prompt, professional customer service

·       Participate in training and team meetings, as requested

·       Perform other related duties, as assigned by the Agent
