As the Information Technology Director you are responsible for IT management, strategy and execution for the organization.  You will work alongside a team of business leaders to identify, develop and execute the technology strategy.

The mandate of the Information Technology Director is to lead the overall technology vision for Navacord.  Delivering a seamless technology platform for broker partner organizations, enabling collaboration, efficiency, leveraging technology for a competitive advantage in our market and provide day-to-day technology support and guidance.  You will provide consultation and decision making on technology matters that will advance business performance, ensure the delivery of cutting edge, forward thinking capabilities that will effectively drive and support Navacord’s current and future operating businesses.

  • Responsible for the IT strategy, budget management, security, governance, risk & compliance, business relationship management, and stakeholder management
  • Lead Navacord broker partners in the achievement of a more effective and cost-beneficial enterprise-wide IT operation including best in class help desk operation support, systems, applications, and network availability
  • Stay abreast of current and future technologies, including technology outside of our industry, maintaining a wide view and analyzing how it can help accelerate Navacord
  • Create and execute a plan to build an IT Shared Services organization with focus on infrastructure, security, technology operations and EPIC integration
  • Collaborate with the various business units to assist with data, reporting, and analytics
  • Lead the evaluation of existing processes and initiate change to a future state structure where required
  • Develop and control the annual operating and capital expenditure budget for IT infrastructure
  • Responsible for building and managing vendor relationships to achieve win/win situations and get best results in delivery
  • Establish long term goals, policies, standards, and procedures and oversee implementation to ensure proper governance and compliance is being followed
  • Work with the functional areas of the business (HR, Marketing, Finance, etc.), broker partners and leadership teams to develop a automated shared services strategy that aligns with the business and IT strategy
  • Oversee facilities and hardware installation, operation, and maintenance of servers, networks (both LAN and WAN), routers, end user computing, peripherals, backup systems, all data communications between multiple sites, and all voice communications. This includes managing and collaborating with external IT providers/vendors

You Must Have:

  • 10+ years managing a highly effective IT platform and team
  • Experience determining business requirements and making decisions on IT investments and implementation of future technology
  • Background in managing IT projects, including large scale software and hardware IMAC and the associated planning and communication between stakeholders and vendors
  • Experience in IT procurement including running vendor selection processes
  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, IT or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of IT operating systems, especially Windows, TAM, and EPIC.
  • Experience managing change, demonstrating effective planning and change management skill
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to lead teams and partners in a way that promotes effective, high quality results
  • Ability to stay current on cutting edge technologies and a history of implementing within a business
