Job Description
Our client is seeking a Human Resources Manager. This position supports the Director of Human Resources by providing expertise and execution in the areas of employee relations, corporate policies, recruitment and retention, performance management and compensation.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Under the direction of the Director of HR, monitor the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources area; including HR processes, recruitment and employee relations
Develop internal corporate policies and processes in line with the established policies and procedures and the current legislative framework.
Deal effectively and sensitively with employee issues.
Manage the Recruiting and Sourcing process, while establishing successful recruitment and retention practices that will secure the best talent available in the market place.
Monitor and review the annual performance review and incentive program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
Manage the identification of training needs, the selection, development and delivery of appropriate programs and facilitate training or workshops as required.
Assist in the development and implementation and execution of programs that will drive increased employee satisfaction and commitment levels.
Assist in compiling relative HR metrics, analyzing, reporting and identifying trends with recommendations provided.
Maintain and ensure that human resources records and reports are accurate, consistent and comply with privacy legislation.
Ensure timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of administrative processes.
Take on special projects and other duties as assigned

The Human Resources Manager is expected to be a team player and work effectively with colleagues and associates in terms of input, sharing of ideas and working to achieve common goal.
Build strong relationships with management, providing exceptional customer focus on Human Resources programs, policies, processes, practices, technology, and tools.
This role requires a good understanding of HR generalist and management capabilities (e.g. employee relations, performance management, recruitment, compensation, learning and development).

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
CHRP completion or partial completion is preferred
5 plus years experience in Human Resources or in a related field
Knowledge of Human Resources and business practices and policies
Knowledge of legislation for all provinces and jurisdictions where the organization does business; ensuring that all actions and correspondence accurately reflect minimum standards.
Knowledge of confidentiality issues and practices
Experience in using Human Resources database systems
Excellent interpersonal, organizing, communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment and to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Problem-solving skills, time management skills, interpersonal skills, conflict management; information gathering skills; and customer service skills
Professional, positive, upbeat attitude, hardworking, teamwork-oriented, organizationally focused.
