SGI CANADA has a 70-year history as an insurer, selling property and casualty products in Saskatchewan, Alberta, B.C., Manitoba and Ontario through a network of 500 insurance brokers. Our broker support teams play an essential role in ensuring SGI CANADA’s success.
As Director of Broker and Business Development, you will lead our corporate broker support teams, ensuring we’re enabling broker success across the country. Do you have the ability to embrace change while managing and prioritizing in a fast-paced and agile work environment? Do you have strong working knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry across Canada?
If this sounds like you, join our team as the Director, Broker & Business Development in Regina. We need you to provide expert guidance, collaborating with regional business development to develop and implement corporate policies, standards and procedures relating to broker partnerships in all regions. You will provide leadership in the implementation and distribution of programs, technology and support services to brokers. You will also lead our Saskatchewan Business Development, National Broker Programs and National Broker Technology teams.
Requirements
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you. We are looking for candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or a related discipline and a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation. Candidates should have at least five (5) years’ management experience with increasing responsibility in the insurance industry and eight (8) years’ experience working with brokers and/or other external partners. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
