As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Autoplan Division within Aon Reed Stenhouse in Kamloops, BC.  As a Customer Service Representative, you will report directly to the Vice President & Branch Manager.

 

Your Impact As A Customer Service Representative

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service at reception;
  • Respond to phone inquiries, providing solutions or directing to the appropriate party as needed;
  • Analyze client inquiries by providing information on products, services and matching customer needs to market.  Review coverages and make recommendations as appropriate;
  • Control ICBC and general office inventory;
  • Batch ICBC documents as per ICBC requirements;
  • Process payments and finance contracts for clients;
  • Promote, explain and recommend coverage and additional products available;
  • Works collaboratively with the team to deliver exceptional service to new and existing clients and prioritize workloads based on business needs;
  • Provide and process new/renewal and mid-term changes of registration, license plates; temporary operating permits, transfers, garage policies, floater plates, prorate plates, special coverage policies and cancellations for individual and fleet clients;
  • Takes ownership of complex and/or escalated issues and conducts the appropriate investigation and action to resolve the concerns;
  • Liaise with offices within the region and across Canada as required;
  • Create documentation, processes, procedures, policies and training manuals as required;
  • Support the account management teams with Autoplan inquiries;
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of ICBC products and guidelines, keeping up to date with changes and new guidelines;
  • Leading by example by demonstrating and sharing with all lines of business the importance of best practice; and
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) year of Autoplan insurance experience required;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Two (2) to three (3) years of ICBC Autoplan insurance experience is preferred;
  • Working knowledge of The Agency Manager (TAM) is an asset;
  • Experience with ICBC batching is ideal.

 

Education:

  • Post-Secondary degree or equivalent years of industry experience.
  • General Insurance Level 1 license required; or a willingness to obtain within three (3) months of starting employment;
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications (i.e. Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) / Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)).
