Job Description
Our client is an established insurance Broker Firm since 1966. They specialize in insurance and bonding solutions for the construction and development industries. They also offer personal lines, group benefits and financial planning services.
Position Summary
This position will support the commercial lines team with servicing the intricate insurance needs of an active book of business. Working with a high performing team of Account Managers and Associates, the successful candidate must be highly motivated, remain flexible to changing job priorities, and strive to create exceptional service experiences.

Key Accountabilities
Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance including Liability, Automobile Leasing, Owned Contractor’s
Equipment, Mortgagee and Tenant Certificates
Work efficiently with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as TAM (an industry standard Broker Management System) to perform the following tasks:
Enter client account data
Format client documents, including letters and reports Manage account receivables
Issue automobile liability slips and certificates of insurance Manage abeyances for Account Managers and other team members
Request, check and invoice Policy Endorsements and renewal documents
Work in a team environment, collaborating daily with Account Associates and Account Managers
Perform other related duties and projects, as required
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
1 to 2 years of work experience in an insurance environment is preferred, general office experience will also be considered.
Post-secondary education completed.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including Outlook, Word and Excel. PowerPoint experience is an asset.
Licensed RIBO candidates preferred or successful completion of RIBO license within 6 months of continuous employment.
Basic understanding and/or working knowledge of Accounting Principals, Financing, Contract, Ontario
Legal system including Insurance Act (Ontario) & Highway Traffic Act (Ontario) is an asset.
Having a past or present business experience or entrepreneurial skills and interest is an asset. This includes working in and/or operating a retail, commercial or industrial business operations of any size.
