We’re looking for Intermediate Commercial Property Underwriters to join our team!

SGI CANADA is currently looking for Intermediate Commercial Property Underwriters to help build our team in Alberta and be part of SGI CANADA’s growth in Western Canada. You will be responsible for reviewing, evaluating and determining insurability for routine and moderately complex new and renewal applications for SGI CANADA (Alberta) commercial property insurance products. These positions can be located in either our Edmonton office or in Calgary to help spearhead our newest branch, however flexible remote work options are available!

For our Intermediate Commercial Property Underwriters, here are some things we’ll look for:

Education and Experience

  • A two-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study such Business and specializing in insurance and risk management
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in underwriting. Experience in commercial property is preferred.
  • Completion of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) courses or designation would be considered an asset.
