As   part   of  the  Product  Underwriting  management  team,  you  will  be

responsible   for  consulting with functional unit leaders and market facing underwriting  to enable achievement of underwriting business plans in North America.  This  position  carries  profit  and  loss  responsibility  for a

specific   area  of  business.  Operationalizes   an   underwriting   business

strategy  through active engagement with internal and external stakeholders utilizing  market  and  industry data to drive decision making. You will be implementing   risk appetite changes based on relevant internal and external data.  Manages a team of product underwriters working with cross-functional resources  to  actively drive the implementation of underwriting strategies (e.g.,  Pricing),  propositions,  and solutions (e.g., product development, underwriting  tools  and  processes)  for  a portfolio, line of business or product line.

·8 or more years of experience in Commercial Property Underwriting,

with additional experience in Engineering lines (COC), Marine, or

Energy is considered a definite asset

·A thorough understanding of the Canadian insurance market, including

the legal and regulatory guidelines.

·Experience with domestic Canadian property accounts, and property

Accounts  that have both a domestic and International component.

·Experience with drafting manuscript policy language

·Understanding of the Natural Catastrophe exposures

·Experience in Leadership or Management type positions.

·Provide team leadership within the Property/Marine Product

Underwriting community to continue a culture of collaboration between

the Market Facing underwriting team and the Product underwriting team

·Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.

Across  functions and globally.
