Intermediate to Senior Commercial Lines Broker
Mississauga – Hybrid Work Schedule.
This role is someone we hope can really hit the ground running in our “Traditional Commercial Department”. This department handles all types of commercial business.
There are accounts here from small businesses to medium-sized and some very large corporate accounts. There is a lot of variety and it is a fast-paced team that prides itself on having double digit growth for the past 3 years. We do not have commissioned producers in our office so the Brokers in this department takes on some additional client relationship building responsibilities once they have a good feel for the role. The role is primarily in-house with most client interaction over the phone and email. Ideally we would like some experience here so the person can pitch in and support the team right away
Position Overview
Handling policy renewals as assigned (including preparation, review and negotiation with insurers as required)
- Servicing existing customers with inquiries and changes as required
- Processing certificates, renewals and endorsements
- Rating and issuing of new business for the brokerage’s exclusive programs
- Follow ups with clients and insurance companies for required information and documents
- Accounts receivables
- Claim reporting and follow-up
- Any other as duties as may come up on a day to day basis
Position Requirements
- 3– 5 years insurance experience (commercial preferred)
- Knowledge of Casualty and Commercial Auto is an asset
- RIBO license
- Exceptional client service skills
- Strong analytical, organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong team player – ability to adapt to and work cooperatively with various individuals
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
