Full-Time Commercial Lines Account Manager, Small Business Unit
Job Description
Account Manager – Business Insurance.
Position Overview: In this role you will report to the VP and you are responsible for providing support to the Small Business Insurance team [Small Business Accounts Under $10,000 Premium].
Responsibilities – Pre-Renewal:• Collection of renewal information from clients.• Preparing coverage specifications and insurance applications.• Request renewal terms and negotiation of renewal terms with underwriters.• Review of insurance quotations and coverage comparisons.• Producing client proposals, analysis and presentations.
Responsibilities – Post-Renewal:• Accountable for coordination of binders & invoice issuance for each line of coverage.• Prepares premium allocation and risk allocation for taxation purposes where applicable.• Prepare client letter and enclosing binders and or policy documents.• Manage the billing and accounts receivable activity on assigned accounts.• Verify insurance policies for accuracy and coordinates corrections if applicable with insurers.• Prepares and sends policy documents to client.• Issuance of insurance certificates and auto ID cards.
On Going Customer Service:• Reviews policy wordings and other documentation for accuracy and completeness.• Reviews requirements and executes issuance of certificates of insurance.• Process policy changes and endorsements.• Issuance of insurance auto ID cards [pink slips].• Accounts Receivable collections on outstanding accounts.• Ensure quality service to all clients including computerized file maintenance• Responds to client inquiries and insurer coverage/documentation requests.• Reporting of claims as required.• Maintain renewal lists for the service team.
Qualifications and Experience:• College Diploma or equivalent work experience• Minimum 5 or more years of experience in Business Insurance and RIBO Licensed• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)• Strong organizational, time and client management skills
