POSITION OVERVIEW:
Lyon & Butler is hiring a Commercial Account Manager to join our highly successful and growing team. The candidate will be responsible maintaining an assigned book of business, as well as building strong client and producer relationships. This position will contribute to our continued growth for Commercial Lines; a successful candidate will be both knowledgeable and professional.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for managing and assigned book of business; working efficiently and professionally with both producers and clients
- Build client relationships with ability to identify their needs and mitigate risks
- Accountable to meet business retention goals
- Prepare renewals and remarkets of existing business 90 days in advance of expiry date or if applicable sooner
- Collaborate and communicate with producers, managers and relevant team members to create support plans for clients
- Create relationships with Insurance Company representatives, understanding market appetites and where business can be effectively placed to meet our goals
- Servicing clients from start to finish in terms of renewals, policy changes, certificate requests, payments, billing, claims and cancellations
- Manage documentation and maintain all information stored within our EPIC broker management system
- Continuously improve your technical and market knowledge through ongoing training & networking
- Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day
- Other duties as required to meet team objectives
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2+ years commercial insurance experience
- R.I.B.O designation required; C.A.I.B or CIP would be an asset
- Professional level understanding of policy wordings and coverages
- Experience in customer service and/or client relationship management
- Attention to detail, time management and a professional demeanor
- Skills in Outlook, Excel, and Microsoft word. Experience with EPIC as a broker management system is a bonus
- Ability to work as a team to accomplish mutual goals
