Job Description

Claims Service Representative – 6 months contract

Location: Montreal / Mississauga

Job Purpose: The Claims Service Representative in our claims/collections department is responsible for managing files relating to collections, attorney cases and insolvency cases. They will be in direct contact with debtors, trustees and attorneys, in an attempt to mitigate losses and maximize on recoveries. This position interacts with Clients, internally and externally, to provide quick and accurate responses to inquiries along with status updates.

Primary Responsibilities in this position:

  • Assist in managing a large portfolio of accounts, with key responsibilities to include: communication with the debtors, trustees, attorneys and policyholders.
  • Answer standard customer requests by phone or email on various topics across all core functions within the claims / collections department.
  • Identifying and assessing customer needs to achieve satisfaction and create “WOW” moments with EH clients.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Provide accurate, valid and compete information by using right methods and tools available.
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
  • Communicate with clear and correct answers in a professional manner.

 Experience desired:

  • 2-3 years customer service experience in a B2B environment
  • Trade Credit Insurance experience – would be desirable
  • Accounts receivable experience – an asset

 Requirements: 

  • College or University degree in related field.
  • Must be bilingual French/English (fluent both written and spoken)
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and similar software.
  • Exceptional internal & external client service mentality
  • Excellent trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to assimilate and apply information from multiple functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple work functions in a high volume setting
  • Self-motivated & team player
  • Additional tasks as required.
