Full-Time Business Development Account Manager

Do you consider yourself to be a natural relationship builder?  Do you enjoy creating lasting partnerships? Our SGI CANADA team is currently searching for our next Business Development Account Manager! This position will be based out of Toronto with remote work options available.


In this role, you will be responsible for the overall account management and relationship between brokers and SGI CANADA, including promoting the company’s products, initiatives, and strategic direction throughout the broker channel. You will identify opportunities for growth, prospect brokers to align to those opportunities, develop joint business plans and monitor results. You are keenly aware of market conditions and able to provide feedback and competitive intelligence to assist the company in achieving its corporate objectives.


You will work collaboratively using the expertise from underwriting, analytics, product management, digital and marketing to deliver opportunities and training to your partners as well as work with a team to monitor broker results against established key performance indicators (KPIs).

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have a four-year degree in a field such as Business. A Chartered Insurance Professional designation would be an asset. Candidates should have at least seven (7) years’ experience in a related role. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
