Our client, a nationally recognized and respected brokerage that provides a variety of insurance products for business, individuals and families, is seeking to hire a Branch Manager to join their team of professionals in Edmonton.

The successful individual will have management experience, strong leadership capabilities and sound technical insurance background. This will be an active management role where the individual will be responsible for a team of insurance professionals in both Personal and Commercial Lines.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and execute sales and service processes within the branch.
  • Ensure branch is operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch.
  • Coach, mentor, and support all staff members while ensuring they are fully engaged.
  • Motivating employees to reach the organization’s goals as a team.
  • Work alongside team leaders to successfully lead a branch office of 80+ staff.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ in a current leadership position.
  • 3+ years’ experience dealing with Commercial Lines and Personal Lines Insurance.
  • A CIP or CAIB Designation is preferred.
  • Must have a Level 2 Insurance License.
  • Extremely strong communication skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Proven track record of leading, mentoring, and coaching a branch office of over 50 individuals
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry as a whole, and a passion for keeping up to date on trends and changes.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to lead by example in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and Insurance Software.
