Full-Time Broker – Technical Service Representative

The Technical Service Representative is part of the Administrative Department Team and is intended to assist Commercial Lines, Personal Lines and Account Managers in terms of the job duties and competencies listed below. Technical Service Representatives are an integral part of the team and have skilled, focused knowledge on specific tasks within the organization.

  • Efficiency in multiple Broker Management Systems: EPIC, Policy Works, EDI/ADI, Communicator, MS Teams, Outlook, Nitro, Pathway, CSR24

Job Duties

Depending on experience, job structure and workload job duties can include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage and draft certificates of insurance in less than 24-hour time line when applicable
  • Process, upload and issue Finance Quotes
  • Process Claims opening and closing notices
  • Pull MVR and Auto Plus Requests
  • Assist with Reception Back-up as needed including answering and re-directing client calls on a daily basis, as well as assisting with full reception duties during vacation and absences
  • Interaction with Company Portals
  • Interaction with and processing simple policy changes and renewals
  • Assisting client with CSR24 online client portal if applicable
  • Potential monitoring and coordination with our Pathway automated email system and campaigns
  • EDI/ADI reports assignment


  • RIBO Certification
  • Experience in Insurance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience on any of our Broker Management Systems are an asset
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
  • Resourcefulness and flexibility
  • Meticulous record keeping skills
