Broker Accountant-North GTA
Job Summary:
The position mandate is to ensure the daily implementation, efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting administration through functions and processes.
Responsibilities include:
Reconciliation of client accounts
Reconcile insurance carrier accounts and follow up on discrepancies
Reconcile payment of staff expense claims, and general vendor accounts
Review, update and reconcile day to day accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
Qualifications:
University Degree or College Diploma with a Business and/or Accounting focus or equivalent education and experience;
3-5 years progressive experience;
Knowledge and experience of accounting processes;
Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records;
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal;
Effective attention to detail; focused and have a high degree of data entry accuracy;
Deadline oriented; strong ability to multi-task;
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills;
A professional demeanor;
Knowledge of Broker Systems
