Our client, a successful Canadian company, is looking for a Bodily Injury Claims Examiner to join their Edmonton team of insurance professionals. This organization believes in prioritizing excellent customer service while providing its employees with an unparalleled work/life balance.
The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong organization skills, and be familiar with medical and legal terminology.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and adjust bodily injury and casualty claims
- Put focus on the prompt and equitable settlement of claims
- Ensure corporate policies are followed throughout the claims process
- Explain policies and coverages to claimants
- Provide advice and guidance to independent adjusters and legal council
- Document all files activities
- Promote open communication channels with other adjusters, experts, and claims administrators
- Direct investigations, negotiations, and evaluations of bodily injury claims
Qualifications:
- Either have or actively pursuing CIP designation an asset
- 4+ years in a Bodily Injury role or other relevant experience required
- Good investigative and negotiating skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology, as well as common types of trauma, treatment recommendations, and recovery periods
- Strong oral and written communication skills in a customer service environment
- Ability to interpret complex documents such as legal documents, medical reports, etc.
