Full-Time Bilingual Intermediate Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Description

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Work closely with brokers, agents, underwriters and Customer Service to effectively solve issues that may arise in a timely and professional manner.
  • Processing payments into the policy administration system ( Includes cheques, credit cards, EFTs and PayPal payments).
  • Review reasons for NSF and cancel policies for non pay if required.
  • Noting and faxing PAC representments on NSF’s.
  • Printing and reviewing daily system reports.
  • Printing reviewing and mailing of the daily refund cheques.
  • Trace, stop and reissue any lost refund cheques.
  • Assist with broker bill account records, ensure accuracy of monthly broker statements and collect amount due as per monthly statements in accordance with Echelon collection terms.
  • Support employees and management in the Laval office to effectively manage the billed receivables to ensure accurate processing and timely collection of the receivables.
  • Processing any stop payments, change in withdrawal amounts, bank information changes and manual withdrawals through on line banking.
  • Reconcile all credit card daily transactions.
  • Assist in the monthly commission statements process.
  • Preparation of the daily deposits.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Fluency in oral and written French is required.
  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable (1-3 years) – preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Post Secondary education in a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience with computer based A/R systems is required.
  • Strong problem solving skills, math skills; demonstrated logic and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively meet department deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge on office suite.
  • Able to perform in a detail oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
