As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our commercial clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Autoplan division within Aon Reed Stenhouse in Vancouver, BC. As an Insurance Specialist, you will focus on excellent service in commercial auto, fleet and garage policies, reporting directly to the Team Lead; Commercial Business Unit.

Your Impact As An Insurance Specialist; Autoplan

 

As an Insurance Specialist, you will work alongside senior Account Executives in managing our clients’ corporate total Risk and Insurance needs, while handling the following responsibilities:

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze client inquiries by providing information on products and services while matching customer needs to international markets using Aon’s global reach and presence;
  • Review coverages and make recommendations as appropriate;
  • Provide and process new/renewal and mid-term changes of registration, license plates, temporary operating permits, transfers, garage policies, floater plates, prorate plates, special coverage policies and cancellations for fleet clients;
  • Promote, explain and recommend coverage and additional products available;
  • Inform commercial clients on coverage, ICBC requirements and advice on maximizing their ICBC fleet potential;
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of ICBC products and guidelines, keeping up to date with changes and new guidelines;
  • Grow and maintain a book of business, meeting established sales and service targets for self and team;
  • Liaise with other Aon offices internationally and across Canada as required;
  • Support the account management teams with commercial Autoplan inquiries; and
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

 

Required Experience:

  • General insurance knowledge of ICBC systems such as ADC and Policy Center required;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Autolink and ICBC batching would be ideal.

 

Education:

  • Post-Secondary degree or a combination of education and equivalent years of industry experience;
  • General Insurance Level One (1) License required; or a willingness to obtain within three (3) months;
  • General Insurance Level Two (2) License preferred;
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including insurance courses and certifications (i.e. Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) / Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP)).
