As Assistant General Manager you will assist the General Manager in the responsibilities of:

  • People leadership
  • Sales management
  • Underwriting
  • Market relations and contracts
  • Marketing
  • Business Development and Group sponsor relations
  • Performance management
  • Budget development and monitoring
  • Recruiting
  • Expense control
  • Strategic initiatives
  • Report analysis

Role Outline:

  • You will assist in the leadership of a growing team of 15+ reporting to the General Manager
  • Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to ensure goals and objectives are attained relating to Sales objectives
  • Provide direction and technical support to the team through coaching/guidance
  • Generate reports on team performance for management analysis
  • Take escalation calls to support sales representatives
  • Assist in recruiting and training new staff in the areas of sales and business development
  • Develop marketing strategies and materials to grow existing business and develop new group business
  • Provide leadership to Business Development Managers, Sales and Marketing.
  • Attend events with Business Development Managers as needed
  • Assist in development of ongoing customer communication
  • Assist in strengthening market and group sponsor relationships
  • Assist in the development of annual business plan and marketing initiatives
  • Monitor marketing spend and reimbursements

Requirements:

Prior management experience in insurance brokerage or company in the area of sales, marketing and business development

RIBO Licensed preferred

Position is full-time with no work from home
