Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, with a dotted line to the President and VP Operations, the Assistant Director is responsible for leadership & guidance of the Commercial Underwriting teams nationally to implement company business objectives. This includes all aspects of management & development of the Commercial Underwriters as well as broker relations and premium production.
You bring to the table:
- 10+ years of commercial underwriting experience – Property & Casualty
- University/College grad
- CIP/FCIP
- Effective leadership skills with a track record of identifying/seeking opportunities for growth
- Demonstrated ability to build development objectives to ensure the retention & progressive development of staff
- Innovation, seeking out opportunities to make a lasting impact on the business
- A stellar track record with brokers
- Collaboration and an appreciation for engaging others and listening to others’ opinions
- Self-motivation & accountability
