Hey, This is Amelia S. Ditch. Rockspace WiFi Extender setup is a very easy process. It takes only a few minutes to get your WiFi extender working. We will guide you through it step by step. You first need to plug in the extender and wait for it to boot up. Once the power light turns solid green, open your browser and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of any device connected to your home network. This will take you to the settings page where you can configure your Rockspace WiFi Extender:

Choose your language and click “Next” at the bottom right corner of the screen. A warning message will appear informing us that this device is unsecured and needs to be configured; click “Continue” at the bottom right corner of the screen. Enter your password (1234) and click “Connect.” You should now see a page titled “WiFi Settings”; click on “Basic Settings” at the top-right corner of the screen.

Select whether or not you want to use DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) or Static IP address; we recommend using Static IP if possible because it makes troubleshooting easier if something goes wrong later on.
