DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Processing, Vancouver Downtown Branch
POSITION: Administrative Assistant
REPORTING TO: Team Lead Processing
Job Accountabilities:
- Back Up to Reception
- Primary contact for all clerical duties in the mail room to ensure an efficient and organized environment.
- Assist Exec/management on projects
- Daily filing, match mail, faxes, mail out, supplies, file preparation, processing and file pulling
- Prepare necessary seminar and marketing material (i.e. kits, brochures, etc.) as instructed by managers, underwriters and staff.
- Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of General Insurance Industry or relevant experience would be an asset
- Knowledge of Insurance terms and processes would be an asset
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Strong willingness to learn and develop their career in Insurance
- Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills to effectively function in a team environment
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) Intermediate applications
- Demonstrates solid decision making and problem solving, with ability to follow established policies, procedures and processes
