Job Description
A progressive opportunity with our client is a mid-sized Insurance Brokerage firm in Woodbridge.
This position will support a dynamic team of Account Executives and their associates in servicing a very active commercial insurance book of business. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. They will be part of a team whose core objective is to maintain a high level of professionalism while exceeding expectations at each client interaction.
Essential Job Functions
o Manage account receivables
Prepare and issue Certificates of Insurance including Liability, Automobile Leasing, Owned Contractor’s Equipment, Mortgagee and Tenant Certificates
Work efficiently with Microsoft Excel and Word documents in order to perform the following tasks:
o Enter client account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information
o Format client documents, including letters
o Issue automobile liability slips
Manage abeyances for Account Executives and other team members
Invoice and process policy endorsements and policy renewals
Perform other related duties and projects, as required
Administrative duties such as:
o relief duties at reception desk
o maintain and update the commercial lines filing system
o sort and distribute incoming mail
o photocopying, printing, binding and scanning of documents
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
1 year of insurance industry and/or general office experience
Working toward post-secondary insurance or business-related diploma/degree
RIBO licence
CIP and/or CAIB designation
Familiarity with The Agency Manager (TAM) and/or Compuquote – an asset
Working knowledge of commercial insurance products, particularly in the construction industry
Skill Sets Required
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and time management abilities
Self-motivation with ability to problem-solve with limited supervision
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Technically proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Accurate data entry skills
