LOCATION: Altona, MB

REPORTS TO: Residential Lines Supervisor

SCHEDULE: Full-time

SUMMARY:

The Residential Lines Underwriting Assistant is responsible for assisting the Residential Lines Underwriting team with the day to day administration of activities. This includes: the daily collection of policy information and data entry into our Computer Management System. In addition, the successful candidate will provide clerical support to a team of Underwriters and assist in the successful completion of organizational deadlines and production goals. Training is provided by Red River Mutual

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • High Level of organization
  • Proficient computer skills with the Microsoft Office program suite including Excel
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced with data entry

  • Deadline driven

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Data entry of policies into an Insurance Management System
  • Collaboration within the underwriting team and the broker partners
  • Entering policy changes into our Insurance Management System
  • Provide a high level of service to the underwriting team and broker partners
  • Problem solving
  • Clerical duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma
  • Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Experience in customer service
