K&K Insurance Canada Is Looking For A Vice President & General Manager

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our K&K Canada business group within Aon Affinity US,  in Mississauga, Ontario.  As a Vice President & General Manager, you will report directly to the President & CEO of K&K Insurance Group, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, and have  1-2 direct reports which include mid to senior level colleagues.  K&K is a wholly owned subsidiary of Aon plc.

Your Impact As A Vice President & General Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day functions of the K&K Canada office
  • Responsible for Profit & Loss results for the K&K Canada office which entails establishing an annual budget & presentation of financial results to both corporate accounting & corporate office management
  • Understand & manage operations/policy issuance for the K&K Canada office
  • Develop & execute marketing strategy(ies) to successfully & profitably grow the K&K Canada book of business
  • Develop & execute underwriting strategy(ies) in coordination with K&K Canada Underwriting Director to ensure designated office authority is adhered to and to maintain acceptable loss experience for the book of business
  • Manage communication & relationships with primary carrier partner Sovereign General
  • Establish & maintain broker relationships

 

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

  • Property & Casualty underwriting background with heavy emphasis on Liability risks
  • Marketing & Sales background
  • Management experience
  • Verbal & written communication skills

Preferred Experience:

  • Combined underwriting & marketing/sales ability
  • Management experience
  • Experience in the sports, leisure & entertainment specialty niche insurance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or equivalent years of industry experience
  • CIP or FCIP designation preferred
  • RIBO license preferred, with expectation of securing licensing in all provinces & territories
